Hey there, fellow seekers of "Happy, Healthy Living." I am forcing my body to sit here and draft this note. I always knew that I wasn't like the other kids, but having this diagnosis comes as both a relief and a whole new challenge. I had been diagnosed with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (with its accompanying OCD symptoms) about four years ago and started meds. As I have gotten more honest and thorough with my counselor, out came BPD. I hope to find some tips that will help me on my journey. I have already read The Five Steps and love the concept; however, even when I concretely write down three choices, "the best" is still often not the healthiest choice! I need to work on more healthy choices as "drink wine," "pick scabs," or "go to sleep" do not seem very productive. There, I have briefly introduced myself and hope to hear back from some of you. Reaching out to others is very hard. Thanks! Thesea
OK, so I don't know if there are certain things I am not supposed to say on here, but I'd like to be welcomed as a new guest to bpd recovery! I posted some details earlier along with my background, and it has not shown up here yet (10 hours?). In any case, I am still newly diagnosed and have found it both a relief and a new challenge. There, no strangeness here to edit! Thanks, Thesea
