It's nice to hear that you want to take the path of recovery. Even though you listed yourself first, you also listed "being a happy healthy mom and wife" "for them" - hopefully the "for them" part is just a by-product of what you want for yourself. I've found that people who try to change to please someone else don't fare as well as those who undertake recovery for purely selfish reasons. Folks who try to change themselves for the benefit of other people usually come to resent the very people they're trying to please and things get ugly from there. But the folks who start out "selfishly" trying to make themselves happy first and foremost end up having beautiful relationships as a by-product of learning how to become the person they've always hoped they would become.
