Guess is customary for new members to introduce themselves eh?

Well as a new / old member here, guess I will say my name is Tracy formerly known as Bogit!!!!

Why the change, well no change on an instant just acceptance of me I guess. Tracy is my RL name, yep have struggled with BPD for a long time. Prolly have ways to go yet! All I know is I came here once as Bogit an hated me, and named myself such for that soul reason. So out of respect for myself and my journey I present me as I stand today.

Hey, Tracy!!! Great to have you with us. Still.

I can fully understand why and how you chose that name. Whole lotta self loathing can go on in the depths of BPD. But isn't it odd how the name you chose to remind you of the things you hated about yourself had the effect of reminding hundreds of us of all the many things we admire about Tracy? Whatever name you choose, you are an inspiration to me and to many others here.

TRACY is a beautiful name! My best friend named her daughter Tracy. And Ricky Nelson named his daughter Tracy. I think it's a beautiful name for a beautiful person!!!! So happy to know you!!!! :biggrin

I like that you've changed your name to reflect the real you!!

Our names online can perhaps subconsciously (or not so subconsciously) reflect how we feel about ourselves. I'm glad you're making that step to show YOURSELF... well, how you feel about yourself!

I am actually starting to feel comfy in my own skin. I am not ashamed of being associated with the term BPD as I once was. Bizarely also for a long time I hated the sound of my own name, would almost whisper it if someone asked it. Now I guess there is just a lot of acceptance.

I was going to change my avatar also but decided I would stick with the one I picked originally. Hope I haven't confused too many people. Rest assured I wont be changing names again!
