Hi there,

I'm glad to have found this forum. I was diagnosed it BPD earlier this year. Still trying to come to grips with it. The last 12 months has seen numerous hospitalisations and just a general decline in my mental health. Not sure how to feel about the diagnosis...good because it finally explains a few things...but bad because of the way others treat me (mainly those in the health profession!).

I look forward to getting to know you all!

J.C

:welcome

I totally understand when you say that the diagnosis is both good and bad. I've found that, especially from mental health providers, if I can just show with my actions that I'm committed to trying to learn a more healthy way to cope.......they get it and work with me.

I hope you will read the front home page and if you can, read through all the tools (on your left). These tools have really helped me with just about anything that comes up. We'll be happy to help you work through them!

I look forward to getting to know each other!

hi, welcome, i'm pretty new too.
agreed, realzing you are bpd does throw a loop, i find i've become harder on myself just because i feel
more obliged to do something about the way i act, i can't just be like "it's just the way i am".
it's good too, it means a positive step towards a happier, more functional life!! :)

Hi J.C :)

I hope you find the support and rsources you need here, I'm new to it all too but this place does look really good.

From observation and practise I have to agree with Harmonium, anytime I've had a good relationship with the "Pro's" its been when I'm as open to new techniques as possible. But there are poop holes in every industry too, don't be too down on yourself! :)
