Hello,

I just joined this site and feel really positive that it will be able to help me. I am also suprised that in the last 12 months of searching for everything I could on BPD, I never found this site until I typed "recovery" into the search box..........it almost seems like this site cannot be found until one is ready to use it :-)

I recieved my BPD diagnosis earlier this year, although I had already realised for myself this was what was wrong with me. I also have a diagnosis of Histrionic (HPD) and Narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) and an eating disorder!!! I read it all out like that and feel like a cocktail of mental health disasters. I was in hospital earlier this week after a self-harming episode of taking an overdose. I only started therapy a few weeks ago and finding it very hard to manage and contain feelings. Definately going through a period of depression and already been looking at the tools on the site.

I was not sure how to introduce myself, there is so much to say and I am just starting out on my journey. I am glad I found this site :-)

I'm so glad you have found us! When you get the chance, try to take a look at the Tools section on your upper left. They are kind of a foundation for the recovery work that we do around here. These tools have been an integral part of my recovery process and I hope they will be for you too!

I look forward to getting to know each other! Just have a look around and feel free to post where you see fit. :biggrin

I have a cocktail of diagnoses too! It's a little scary when you write them all out in one go, isn't it?

You've come to a great place. :thumbsup Feel free to introduce yourself as much or as little as you like...

Looking forwards to getting to know you,

Lirael

Welcome Ehryne,
I am glad you found this site... amazing that it only popped up when you typed in 'recovery'. I have only been around here since the summer months, and have found the site to be incredibly warm and supportive. The tools are excellent... struggling a bit now myself with them... but I am experiencing them as a way out.
I hope that you are able to find the support that you are looking for. Again, welcome! :welcome
