hi i need help. i got high last night and i just want to die.

Hi metalhead, I moved your topic from Conversation Corner to On the Border, where more people will see it. We use Conversation Corner for one-to-one discussions between members who are having some kind of conflict, so they can talk it out and reach some kind of resolution without involving the whole board.

Is your distress (wanting to die) because you regret having used, or because whatever you did to get high has made you feel horrible physically? Maybe it doesn't matter, but the answer might be a starting point for you in terms of figuring out what to do next.

I think you had posted before that you had been "locked up" because of smoking week -- I'm still not sure whether that meant you were in rehab or that you had been arrested and jailed. If you have been in rehab (then or some other time), can you call on some things you might have learned there, along with techniques for distress tolerance from DBT, to both ease your current level of misery and to figure out ways to avoid the temptation to get high again?

Don't give up on yourself because you had this lapse. Pick yourself back up, and start over.
