Hi, I am recently been diagnosed with BPD. I have three children (grown) was recently divorced and am finally trying to put my life back together. I have tried to figure out my problems for many years. I am so glad to have a diagnonis. I am in therapy and group therapy using DBT. Glad to have found you.

Welcome to the board, BarBlume! I'm glad you found us too! DBT is a great place to start; I'm sure it will be helpful to you. You can read the tools on this board, too. They are your left. I have grown children too.

Thank you both for the welcome.
I've glanced over the tools this morning.
They aare very informative and look helpful.
They can be incorporated into DBT easily.

Looking forward to getting to know more about you.

Oh, meant to mention, has anyone read Get Me Out of Here by Rachel Reiland? Just finished it yesterday. Any comments, insight?

I read Get Me Out of Here, and I thought it was great. I could relate with a lot of things she wrote about.

Yes, I can too. It seems this was before they used DBT or any other specific therapy for BPD. She had quite a hard road. Very encouraging story

We have a bunch of books listed in our bookstore -- there's a mix of stuff there, from other first-person accounts of mental illness to workbooks to books by Ruiz, the author of The Four Agreements. The links take you to Amazon.com.
