I think you have taken the first step by opening up and sharing how you feel
Sometimes the dark hole feels so horrible, it's as if we're sucked into it, and there's no way out!
I have some questions to ask you:
a) Are you seeing a therapist or some professional?

b) Perhaps you could describe more about yourself? I mean more specific about this 'dark hole'?
Let's take it one step at a time. Perhaps you could try journalling, just writing down how exactly you feel - to just be aware of your own feelings, no matter how dark they are. To just be able to name your feelings and what you are struggling with.
