Hey all, finally made it on here after some tech probs with registration. It was strongly suggested to me by another member here that I join in with you all, so here I am.
My name is Laura and I'm a recovering BPD'er who's well on her way to recovery, just has a few little snags to work out before I can add the "ed" at the end of the word recover. Ive been working on BPD issues for quite a while now and have gone through 3 very long years of DBT, both in a group and with an individual T, so I know quite a bit about DBT. I quit focusing my treatment on DBT skills though about 2 years ago, mostly because after 3 years of it I'd learned all I was going to learn and it was getting rather repetitious and it was time I stopped learning it and got out and starting using it and living it, so that's what I did. I changed therapists and got a job, and have been rather successful at both, thank you very much, and now I'm here to both share what I know with others and seek out what I dont know and need to know from others.
Judging by what I've already read with various posts here, it looks like I can do just that, and I look forward to participating.
Hmmm, final note here is that it says message may contain no more than 6000 characters...I do tend to ramble on a bit sometimes and it would be helpful if this would keep track of how many characters Ive used so far so I know when to stop

(or does it?). Anyhooo...that's it for now.
